The Award is open to all full-time undergraduate and post-graduate students from any of the tertiary education institutions in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
- Students are encouraged to form groups with a maximum of 8 members, including at least one student studying in engineering-related faculties, or participate as individuals.
- Students are welcome to contact us to find suitable teammates to join the Awards.
Each team is required to submit an Application Form online on or before 23:59 on 13 December 2024 to confirm interest.
Each team should submit a proposal in accordance with the following requirements:
Proposal Guideline:
- Cover sheet of the proposal (including project name and a max. of 300 words description)
- Maximum 12 pages of written documentation in English, font size minimum 12 pt
- Any schematic, diagram or graphics directly demonstrating the concept of the project must be included in the 12-page proposal
- Proposal must clearly demonstrate every point in each Judging Criteria:
- Project Team can allocate the weight of the content for each judging criteria by their own judgement
- Project can submit multi-media illustrations (e.g. gif, video, etc.) or other supporting documents (e.g. award certificate, etc.) if necessary. Whether supporting documents will be assessed or not is under the Juror’s discretion
- File Name Requirement: Team Leader Name.pdf (i.e. Chan Tai Man.pdf)
All proposals must be submitted to the HERE by HKT 23:59 on 25 February 2025.
Shortlisted teams will receive an e-mail invitation in April to the final presentation cum Award Presentation Ceremony on June 2025. Each team is entitled to get a maximum amount of HK$ 8,000 (to be reimbursed for actual expenses with receipt) to produce a demonstration model which will be displayed in the 20-minute presentation with jury panel.
