Application Form Submission
Q: How do I submit my application?
The award application form should be submitted online on the official website of Chun Wo Innovation Student Awards.
Q: Can I submit my application alone?
Yes you can! You may join the award independently, but we will encourage you to form groups with a maximum of 8 members, in which one of you is studying in engineering related faculties.
Q: Can I join the award as an overseas student?
If you are studying as a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate student at any tertiary education institutions in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area (GBA), you are welcome to join as part of a team, even if you are an overseas student.
Q: Can I submit an application after the deadline?
Please submit the application on time.
Q: Is there a cost to enter?
The entry fee for this award is FREE and we look forward to seeing your innovative idea!
Proposal Submission
Q: Can we submit our proposal by mail or by post?
In order to be fair and keep the proposal in consistency, the proposal submission process is entirely online; no mailed entries will be accepted. This ensures that all entries are judged on the same information and gives the jury a chance to review projects via the online system.
Q: Is there a content outline for the proposal?
Yes, a proposal guideline will be updated online after the application submission deadline ends.
First Screening and Final Presentation
Q: How many shortlisted teams will be selected?
The Jury Panel will review all submitted proposals and shortlist 8-10 teams to join the final presentation.
Q: When will we be informed that we are a shortlisted team?
The shortlisted teams will receive an email invitation with an invitation to the final presentation.
Q: What requirements do we need to modify our final presentation?
We welcome your presentation in any mode that can show your innovative idea, e.g. video, model, etc. Each team will be entitled to get a maximum of HKD8,000 for producing a demonstration model etc. and will be reimbursed after students submit their receipts.
Q: How long will the final presentation be?
There will be a 20-minute presentation with jury panels.
Q: Who will judge the Chun Wo Innovation Student Awards?
The jury panel consists of 7 members from Government, technology enterprise, environmental, engineering, education and commercial sector, etc.
Q: What are the awards that can be won?
There are three total Innovative awards: Gold, Silver and Bronze.
There are also three merit award: The Best Business Potential Award, The Best Sustainable Solution Award and The Best Social Impact Award.

Award Presentation Ceremony
Q: How will I be informed if I have won an award?
We will have an award presentation ceremony to announce the winning teams after the end of the final student presentation.
